The role

You are required to assist with tax and finance compliance, support tax advisory functions, month end activities and ad hoc tax and finance related projects to ensure timely and accurate compliance with regulatory Authorities and the provision of information and advice to internal and external stakeholders.Ā 

Areas of responsibility

  • Complete all tax-related compliance obligations, including income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, customs, and stamp duties.
  • Support Tax Effect Accounting requirements for various legal entities.
  • Assist with transfer pricing compliance, including documentation preparation.
  • Contribute to month-end and finance compliance activities.
  • Conduct ad hoc research on the taxes.
  • Address day-to-day tax-related inquiries, especially regarding transfer pricing.
  • Help complete tax risk and policy frameworks and implement process improvements.
  • Assist with tasks required for tax audits.
  • Prepare standalone income tax and tax effect accounting calculations for each entity

Your profile

You should have completed a Bachelor of Commerce/Business and have experience in financial accounting or as a Tax accountant. You should also be in the process of completing your CPA or CA. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. An up-to-date understanding of tax laws at various levels and excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are also essential
