We are looking for several T Repairs Electricians to work in across Sydney, NSW. This is a permanent role that reports to the T Project Manager.

You will work closely with other Service Technicians, Mechanical Fitters, Installers, Adjusters, Trade Assistants, Field Engineers, and Service Coordinators.

A T Repair Electrician works on various sites within the location/region in which they are employed. Often moving locations daily/weekly and working alone or in small teams to install or modernize elevators and escalators.

These individuals are employed under the terms of the local Enterprise Agreement and paid accordingly. Duties and pay rates will change according to classification.

Key Responsibilities for You

  • Running electrical cables within the lift shaft including General troubleshooting

  • Wiring a lift shaft and lift car and installing car doors

  • Connecting motors and controllers and roping the lift

  • Following the field installation manual and communicating appropriately with team members, managers, site managers and other contractors

  • Responsible for complying with company Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures, including reporting any conditions which may impact the environment or any employee.

  • Maintain and work to the Quality System including procedures and manuals. Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to satisfy the customers of your processes.

  • Ensures work is performed in accordance with the following Company procedures - Erectors Manual, Product Installation Manuals, Procedures for Quality Assurance on-site, relevant Technical Articles and Field Operations Manual ANZ.

  • Ensures work is performed following the relevant Codes, including SAA Lift Code AS1735 and AS3000.

  • Completes Time Sheets every week.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

  • Electrical or Trace qualifications relevant to the role and have experience working on a construction site.

  • Minimum two (2) to five (5) years’ experience within the Lift Industry.

  • Extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge across large equipment and the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.

  • Ability to work in a team or autonomously

  • Has the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.

  • Demonstrated fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong English language skills, both verbal and written

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience using technology, including mobile communications, applications, and other computer-based systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet).

  • Highly organized, structured, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.

  • Attention to detail and results-driven.
