We are seeking a friendly volunteer to come and spend time with an elderly client living at home in Ryde. He enjoys all things Golf including playing and chatting about the game, his background is English and he would like a weekly/fortnightly visitor to come and chat about English History over a cuppa. You'll help provide companionship as well as maintain their healthy wellbeing as part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required (Two doses)
Ideally you'll be available one hour per week for 6-12 months or longer. We'd be happy to chat with you about a suitable day and time during the week between the hours of 9am-5pm.
