On-site
Erina, New South Wales, Australia
Do you enjoy interacting with older members of our community?  Do you have some skills or interests that would appeal to older people?  HammondCare’s Social Club at Erina is looking for volunteers that can attend weekly to be apart of the activities with our Clients. The Social Club offers clients who are frail aged and or living with dementia a chance to spend a day socialising outside their home.

As a volunteer you would be assisting our trained staff to provide plenty of enjoyable activities such as games, arts and craft, knitting, sewing, crochet, bible chats, meds shed projects, pet visitors, arm chair travel facilitator, special interests speakers, exercising and outings. For some guests, the opportunity to have someone to listen and have a chat over a cuppa will be invaluable.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
