Harris HMC are seeking an experienced Service and Maintenance A Grade Electrician to join our growing team in Melbourne. You will be working across a large client base consisting of high-end commercial buildings, industrial sites, Government, council, and the tertiary and higher education sector.

This will be a client facing role, we are looking for someone who can engage with our clients and contractors and represent our company culture and Top 1% focus on customer service.

It will be a mainly autonomous role, with the flexibility to schedule your own day to day workload and organise basic materials. Reporting to the Service and Maintenance Manager, you will have the skills to be able to work on your own, problem solve, and fault find, but will be supported by our larger team of service electricians when required.

Duties will include Scheduling and carrying out planed preventative maintenance tasks as well as the completion of all associated reporting required, responding to reactive works including urgent response when needed, general electrical repairs and alterations, and completing or assisting with small to medium project works for our clients. 

What we’re looking for

  • Organisational skills to prioritise both a reactive and planned workload 
  • Experience with commercial service and maintenance work
  • Be able to complete reports for preventative maintenance tasks in Excel and Work on supplied tablet
  • Ability to work autonomously and fault find / problem solve when required
  • Customer service skills to be able to deal directly with clients such as facilities maintenance managers and tenants 

It is great, but not required, if you have experience with:

  • Experience with various Lighting control systems
  • Experience with Generator / UPS systems
  • Experience with online jobs management system such as Aroflo or similar.
