About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CALHN Pharmacy Manufacturing team as the Senior Pharmacist Team Leader. CALHN Pharmacy is the largest manufacturing service in the SA public system, with a broad range of products and opportunities available for a motivated, organised and engaging Team Leader.

The key functions of the role are to:

  • Provide leadership within the department for the provision of pharmaceutical manufacturing services across CALHN Pharmacy facilities
  • Provide management, mentoring and guidance to pharmacists, assistants, technicians and administrative support staff in ensuring medication management directives, policy, procedure and guidelines are implemented and maintained
  • Act as a point of contact for clinicians and service units regarding manufacturing service enquiries and issues
  • Train and develop pharmacy staff in manufacturing roles to optimise service outcomes
  • Undertake performance review and development for all supervised staff
  • Provide leadership within the department for the development, review, evaluation and teaching of workplace policies and procedures involving manufacturing services
  • Uphold Work Health and Safety principles within the pharmacy manufacturing facilities
  • Work with other SA Pharmacy manufacturing services to ensure statewide priorities are upheld and practices across sites are consistent
  • Represent CALHN Pharmacy at relevant statewide groups
  • Prior hospital pharmacy manufacturing experience, including compounding skills, is highly valuable

Essential Requirements:

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
