Senior Mechanical / Product Engineer

About the Role

We want you! Are you an experienced Engineer looking for your next challenge? We have a great opportunity for you to join our expanding team. This position will provide primary engineering support to our WA based jacking division, new workshop & our newly created Products, Equipment & Components Division (PEC). With support from our Engineering department, you will look to grow our engineering capabilities both within WA & the broader group.

With a primary focus in design & engineering, this role will cover the complete design & fabrication process, from initial scoping with a client all the way through to delivery of the fabricated solution, along with any onsite training/testing.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing & undertaking design & engineering activities within the business
• 3D scanning including reverse engineering & using this information to develop engineering solutions to meet customer needs.
• Support our products & engineering team in development of new products
• Building our engineering capabilities within WA, including the development of new engineering staff as the business grows.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Mechanical engineering experience (4 years +)
• 3D scanning (highly-desirable)
• Proficient in SolidWorks & ANSYS structural experience (desirable)
• A trade background (desirable)
• knowledge of AS/NZS Engineering Standards, Quality Standards ISO 9001; and ISO Standards highly advantageous.

• Experience within the heavy machinery industry would be desirable
• Be an effective communicator (for an engineer) and have sound engagement skills

• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail

• Prioritising and managing timeframes and deadlines
• Be confident, flexible, team player and show initiative
• A self-starter who demonstrates flexibility with approach to tasks.
• Current drivers licence
