What Aurora Dairies can offer you

Aurora Dairies are currently seeking Senior Farm Hands for a dairy farm in South Riana in Northern Tasmania, located 30 minutes from Burnie and Ulverstone. We are seeking two full time employees, and a couple may be considered depending on their skills and experience.

The farm is approximately 240ha effective area with 150ha under pivot irrigation and 37ha under lateral irrigation, currently milking 830 cows, through a 50 bail rotary shed. This farm is 100% Spring calving beginning in mid-August. There is accommodation available on farm if required.

This role will include tasks the areas of:

• Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures.
• All aspects of milking.
• Animal husbandry.
• Pasture management.
• Machinery operation.
• Repairs and maintenance.

The desired skills and experience for this opportunity are:

• Past dairy industry experience is highly desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude at Farm Hand level.
