Join our Southern Adelaide Diabetes & Endocrine Team as a Research Nurse Manager!  

The Southern Adelaide Diabetes and Endocrine Service (SADES) aims to deliver world-class clinical care, diagnostic services, teaching and self-management education in Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders and to improve health through clinical and scientific research.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Director of Southern Adelaide Diabetes & Endocrine Services, this role will be responsible for Clinical Trials Management providing high quality education to supplement or enhance protocol guidelines and ensure that the volunteer with has relevant information/education so that informed decisions on self-management can be made. Duties for the role will include:

  • Use available information systems: to inform decision making, to implement and co-ordinate processes for quality improvement, to monitor and analyse incidents and accidents, to ensure quality and safety is not compromised, to evaluate outcomes and convey information to staff,
  • Ensure mechanisms are in place to support ongoing education where work and learning are integrated,
  • Establishing, implementing and evaluating systems, which ensure best practice/evidence and patient/client outcomes.

About you:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, 
  • Completion of an accredited Diabetes Educators Course,
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving conflict resolution and negotiation,
  • Demonstrated competence in clinical trial management and diabetes nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
