ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

There is currently an opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our organisation as part of our Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation department on full time basis. There are Clinical Nurse Educators working 5 days per week to offer support and education.

The Mater HospitalΒ has an innovative and progressive Orthopaedic department with some surgery utilising Robotics. There are 4 orthopaedic wards, including our rehabilitation ward. We care for patients following knee and hip replacements, shoulder, spine and foot surgery as well as sports injuries. Our experienced team of health care professionals, care givers and support staff are equipped to provide the highest level of therapeutic, medical and surgical services. We are one of Australia's leading orthopaedic hospitals and the only Australian hospital to be admitted into the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.

ABOUT YOU:

As a successful Registered Nurse in Orthopaedics, you will meet the following requirements:

Essential Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in acute surgical nursing

  • Bachelor in nursing

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and deliver quality patient care

  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development

  • To be dedicated to working hard in a close team environment

  • Work rights within Australia

Desirable

Previous Orthopaedic nursing experience
