Job Description

Exciting full time and part time opportunities exists for an experienced Oncology/Haematology nurses to join our Oncology team’s acute medical oncology and Haemotology unit based in Richmond.  You will support Oncologists who specialise in breast, pancreatic, gastrointestinal, neurological and gynaecological cancers and Haematologists who specialise in lymphoma, leukemia and myelomas.

At Epworth Richmond, you will join a friendly and very supportive team that has access to up-to-date oncology treatments including radiotherapy treatment and uses a strong, supportive education team to drive best-practice.

Our teams provide care and support patients through diagnosis, treatment and palliative care for multiple types of cancers (such as breast, renal, pancreatic, colorectal, gastric, lung) and are responsible for providing evidenced-based care to Oncology and Haematology patients.

To be successful in this role…

You are an experienced oncology or haematology nurse who is passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes. A strong communicator, you have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families. You enjoy collaborating with team members to support the development and growth of the service. You are invested in your career and are seeking to partake in career development pathways.

You will bring the following:

  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
  • Chemotherapy competency or a willingness to complete chemotherapy training
  • 1 years’ experience in acute care setting or successful completion of a hospital graduate program
  • Competency in Venepuncture, Intravenous Cannulation and Central Venous Access Device or willingness to learn and undertake training
  • The enthusiasm to work in the Oncology setting, which includes supporting patients and families through diagnosis, cancer treatment and palliative care

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $68,212 - $95,776 + super + entitlements depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
