Testimonials from current and past Acute Pool Staff
Amberlie –Acute Pool EEN - “My name is Amberlie, I have been an Enrolled Nurse at Bendigo Health for 11 years now, relocating from a remote area in the NT which has allowed me to continue on with my nursing career at Bendigo Health. I enjoy working on Acute Pool as this has given me a variety of challenges from learning in multiple different areas, such as Medical, Rehab, Hospice, Orthopedics, Surgical, Pediatrics, Special Care Nursery and the Emergency Department. Throughout my career, I have been supported by friendly staff in all departments, where any questions regarding patient care are always welcomed. Acute Pool is very accommodating to work life balance and offers great flexibility in self-rostering. Bendigo has a very welcoming culture with many social events to add to the calendar.”
Dave – Past Acute Pool CCRN
"Hi, I’m Dave, an ICU CCRN and an After Hours Manager. I’ve been very fortunate in my career to be on Acute Pool which has allowed me to be exposed to various units within Bendigo Health. I first completed an EN Grad year, worked several years on casual bank then completed my RN. After my RN grad year I commenced on Acute Pool and through this was exposed to ICU and ED, after completing my CCRN I returned to pool and spent several years working across the hospital. I loved my time on pool for the flexibility and the exposure to places that I hadn’t thought of working before”
