About the Home

Located in Heathfield in the centre of the picturesque Adelaide Hills, Hillside Aged Care is nestled amongst the tall trees and natural bushland providing peace, tranquillity, only 15km from the City of Adelaide.

About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team on a permanent part time basis, working both night and day shifts covering up to 66 hours per fortnight.

Monday: 2245 - 0700
Tuesday: 2245 - 0700

Week 2
Monday: 1445 - 2300
Tuesday: 2245 - 0700
Wednesday: 2245 - 0700
Friday: 0645 - 1500
Saturday: 0645 - 1500
Sunday: 0645 - 1500 

Successful candidates also have the ability to pick up additional shifts to cover planned and unplanned leave at all Allity homes.

Reporting to the Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing high quality clinical care to the elderly in line with Aged Care and Allity standards whilst working within a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for completing holistic assessments, developing appropriate care plans, evaluating and determining clinical decisions that guide our care staff.

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Day to day delivery and management of high-quality care needs of residents whilst ensuring that all residents are respected and treated with empathy and dignity
  • Manage and direct PCWs in day-to-day activities for our residents
  • Support the General Manager/Care Manager to fulfil the objectives they have for the effective and efficient management of the facility
  • Recording accurate medical records on each resident in line with the documentation guidelines and the legal issues of report writing
  • Comply with WHS legislation and Policy and Procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement process and systems

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

  • Current Registered Nurse (Division 1) registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Immunisation record - COVID and current flu vaccination mandatory
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff
  • Strong passion for working with the elderly and dedication to professional growth
