About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse at Wudinna Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Care: Assess individual patient needs, plan, implement, and coordinate appropriate care from a range of accepted options, including collaboration with other disciplines and agencies.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Provide evidence-based care, adhering to professional standards and quality management initiatives in line with organisational policies.
  • Clinical Development: Enhance your clinical skills and stay current with best practices and professional standards while working a 7-day roster.

Wudinna Hospital has eight inpatient beds and provides a range of services including emergency services, general medicine, surgical care, palliative care and outpatients. There is also a 10-bed aged care facility, the Trudinger Aged Care Complex, providing a home line setting, under the same roof but separate to the hospital.

Community Health services are based at the nearby Wudinna Community Health Medical Centre, which also houses a GP practice.

About You

  • You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
  • Demonstrating sound knowledge and an understanding of the role of the Registered Nurse/Midwife within a health care setting, you will bring the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • You will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a health care setting, displaying a commitment to providing consumer and family-centred care.
  • Strong communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

This is a part time vacancy working 56 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
