SANS SOUCI AGED CARE is a new boutique privately operated residential facility situated in Lawson Street Sans Souci.
We are looking for experienced REGISTERED NURSES to assist us in admitting and caring for residents in this state of the art facility.
The successful applicant will be well versed :
• Infection control
• Food safety standards
• Manual Handling
• Caring and supporting the older person
• IDDSI Standards and modified food textures.
• Work, Health and Safety principles
• Professional standards
• Standards of care
• Person centered care and consumers as partners
Responsibilities will
• Providing leadership to the clinical team
• Working together in the clinical and wider team
• Participating in induction, ongoing training and performance of care staff
• Assessment and planning of care
• Case conferences with consumers and substitute decision makers
• Medication management and supervision of medication competent CSEs
• Wound management
• Continence management
• Documentation
• Audits
• Managing clinical and continence supplies
Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing the Registered Nurse will be part of the Clinical Team and will be required to participate in meetings, food forums, customer feedback and to initiate quality improvement projects to further enhance the service and address any shortfall.
