About the role: Primary School Music Teacher


  • Employment Type: Contract - 0.8 FTE (Mon-Thurs)
  • Start Date: Week 1, Term 4, 2024 with potential for ongoing.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our vibrant team, teaching students from Pre-Primary to Year 6. This role involves delivering a dynamic music curriculum, contributing to the school's program development, and participating in end-of-year performances. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for music education and a commitment to professional growth.


Position Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of a Primary Teaching Diploma and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
  • Possess knowledge or experience in teaching music to primary school students.
  • Be registered with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
  • Hold a current Working with Children Card and relevant police clearances.
  • Demonstrate ability to implement and develop music programs over an academic term.
  • Show commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with staff.


Essential Criteria:

  • To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
  • To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
  • Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
  • Work to ensure personal best practice.
  • Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
  • Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
  • Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • Working With Children Card.
