About Us

Serco has a dedicated team of over 600 people supporting operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital and works in close partnership with the hospital leadership, WA Health, clinicians, and staff to deliver essential non-clinical facilities management, ICT and HR managed services. Our specialist team designs, manages and optimises the integrated services and are critical to the ongoing delivery of clinical services in Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all plumbing systems throughout the hospital. You will be a key first responder for all maintenance jobs raised within the hospital. 

This is a fixed term contract, with the potential for permanency based on outstanding performance and organizational needs.

About You

Your skills and experience

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and behaviour
  • Trade Certification in a relevant plumbing discipline
  • Valid West Australian Plumbing Trade License
  • Valid West Australian Back Flow prevention license
  • Experience working within a Facility Management position.
  • Ensures service delivery issues are resolved in accordance with program and timeframe objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience utilising the latest technologies in plumbing and sanitary systems (preferably within a Health environment)
  • Demonstrated experience using all types of plumbing materials, I.E. HDPE fusion weld, Aquatherm plastic pipe system, Rehau plastic pipe system.
  • A flexible attitude coupled with the ability to work in a close-knit team environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure. 

This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a Federal police check as an essential selection component for this role.
