Your part in The Wesley Hospital team

As a Plumber at the Wesley Hospital, you will provide a responsive, high quality, effective and efficient maintenance and repair service including: maintenance, repair, installation and monitoring of all plumbing fixtures, fittings and systems.

Duties:

• Read drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, taps etc.
• Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
• Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems
• Services and repairs of mechanical services equipment, pumps, split systems
• Welding Certification and gas fitters’ licence would be highly regarded

• Certificate of Competency as a licensed plumber
• Welding certification and gas fitters licence desirable
• General Site Safety Induction Card (White Card)
• Current Qld Drivers Licence (Manual C Class) & clean driving Record
• Appropriate tools of trade
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
