Our client, a distinguished leader in advanced insulation and building envelope solutions, is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join their expanding team in St. Marys.

This role is crucial in maintaining and optimizing electrical systems to support the company’s operational excellence.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Electrician to join our morning shift operations based in St. Marys. As a vital member of the maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our plant machinery and equipment.


 Position Brief below 

  • Permanent Full time position 
  • Mon - Fri  6am - 2:30pm
  • Hourly rate  $55 per hour + penalties 
  • Overtime and weekend shifts where required  
  • ASAP start for Successful applicants 
  • Must be able to work Saturdays

Duties: Responsible for prompt action and close out of safety issues affecting the workplace; test, inspect and diagnose plant and equipment faults; perform planned maintenance, reactive breakdown maintenance and shutdown work across area; install and repair equipment associated with hydraulic and pneumatic systems; work towards improving equipment reliability and field service work.

Skills and Abilities Required For this position :

  • • You will be responsible for undertaking a range of repair and
       maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment across the plant.
    • Use of Pirana as the plant preventative maintenance system.
    • On-siteexpert on the maintenance of the plant equipment.
    • Hands on ‘first line of defence’ to equipment fixes.
    • Compliance with the Kingspan Equipment Specification process.
    • Critical to the role is to ensure product quality is treated as a top
       priority.
    • Manage the site services and legal contractsrequirements.
    • Monitor equipment performance and rectify recurring problems.
    • Apply good standards of engineering practice at all times.
    • Delivery of robust processes by establishing optimum
      manufacturing operating parameters conducting experimental
      tests, analysing and verifying results.
    • Carry out installation work, to include modifying existing equipment
       and installing new equipment.
    • Ensure the customer does not incur unnecessary cost or
       inconvenience due to poor service delivery or performance
    • Perform related duties as required.
    • Ensure all WHSE company policies and procedures are adhered to
       at all times
    • Undertake all forms of training assigned by the company
    • To obtain and maintain any required licenses or tickets that are
       essential to perform the tasks assigned by the company

To be considered for this role, applicants will possess the following:

 

  •  Australian recognized trade - Electrician 
  •  current Electrical licence 
  •  Previous experience within a similar role 
  •  Minimum 3 years post trade experience 
  •  Previous experience within a medium to large size engineering group / high   volume manufacturing company
  •  Sound knowledge of Siemens PLC & SEW Drive Technology
  •  Ability to read and understand technical / electrical drawing
  •  Project management experience 
  •  proven track record on large scale engineering projects
  •  application of automated equipment in high volume manufacturing 
  •  experience with modern manufacturing equipment 
  •  Extensive knowledge of machinery geometry
  •  Self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate good time management
  •  Strong communication skills both verbal and written 
  •  Good analytical and problem solving skills 
  •  High level of attention to detail and organisational skills 
  •  Energetic / proactive approach with the ability to multitask 
  •  ability to work under time constraints and within pressurised environments
  •  ability to work overtime and weekend shifts where required - projects and for machine breakdowns
