You will hold responsibility for the provision of high-standard clinical services to eligible clients in our community by providing individualised, re-enabling/restorative, evidence-based physiotherapy assessments, clinical interventions, education, empowerment, and self-management.    

Working as part of the Adult Physiotherapy Team, and reporting to the Team Leader Physiotherapy, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertake accurate, timely assessments and interventions to internal and external clients consistent with team and individual scope of practice as determined by regular clinical supervision.  This includes one-to-one and group interventions.  Community outpatient setting.   
  • Develop care plans in collaboration with clients/participants and other stakeholders to work towards client-centred goals.
  • Identify and support quality improvement processes from a client, quality, and organisational view. 
  • Identify need for additional support services with the client/participant in care plans.  Make appropriate internal and external referrals for group or individual interventions to support a coordinated approach to better health outcomes for the client/participant.
  • Work with a wide range of clinical presentations with a diverse client base. 
  • Attend service meetings, staff meetings and other organisational meetings as required.

To be successful in this role you will bring demonstrated experience or knowledge in working within a multidisciplinary team managing complex clinical presentations, can develop rapport with clients and other stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

 

You will also come with:

  • Qualification in Physiotherapy with unlimited registration through AHPRA (no restrictions on your registration).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist.
  • Well-developed clinical reasoning and practical skills; as well as the ability to innovate or problem-solve. 
  • The ability to work in teams or autonomously. 
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, and the drive to provide excellent care to all your clients. 

 

The fine print

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC.
  • Must have full work rights in Australia.
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required.
  • Candidates will be required to work from our Broadmeadows site, as well as other DPV sites. 
  • The position is Grade 1 or Grade 2 Physiotherapist based on applicants’ experience and knowledge.
