About the role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the role of advance practice physiotherapy in the BRIGHT service model. BRIGHT is a multidisciplinary service that sits at the interface of hospital and community, providing responsive comprehensive care for patients who would otherwise be on the trajectory to the emergency department or physical hospital.

The Senior Physiotherapist / Advanced Practice Physiotherapist will possess the required skills, experience and knowledge to take on a lead clinician role for patients who present to the BRIGHT with a range of musculoskeletal injuries and mechanical spinal pain. They also promote a 'home first' approach for patients with other conditions include recurrent falls and mobility restrictions and facilitating transition of client-centred care to acute, subacute and community services for ongoing management.

Staff who are not currently eligible for an AHP4 role per the role description requirements but are interested and committed to progress through the required competencies and credentialing processes are encouraged to apply at an AHP3 classification. In that case, a musculoskeletal post graduate qualification is highly desirable.
