About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Parklea Correctional Centre. The incumbent will work in coordination with the clinical teams delivering treatment to patients with a range of health conditions including mental health, opioid treatment program, infectious disease, alcohol and other drugs and chronic health conditions. The incumbent will ensure effective continuity of care as patients move to community-based services and are transferred to another facility.

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Pharmacist who possess a passion for person centred care.

Selection Criteria:


1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Pharmacy qualifications conferred by tertiary education institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy with full Pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions on scope of practice.​

3. Experience in the provision of clinical pharmacy services.

4. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and a diverse range of health care providers.

5. Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team and have the skills to build and maintain cooperative relationships

6. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications.
7. Experience in a mental health pharmacy service or within correctional health/drug & alcohol services and knowledge of related policies and legislation.
