Bring along your good-natured pet and spend time chatting with people living in care  at our residential aged care home in Woy Woy. You’ll see what a difference your furry friend can make.

As you're bringing your pet into a care environment with frail and elderly residents or patients, we ask that your pet is:

- Calm and gentle in nature
- Up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas
- Nails should be short and blunt. Freshly cut nails can be sharp if not filed down.
- Dogs should be kept on a lead always.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

HammondCare

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.
