We are seeking a skilled, diverse learning Teacher to join our exceptional team at our Galilee Campus, R-9.


Position Overview


Working collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, parents/caregivers and others as applicable to facilitate positive learning by students and engage in education reform.   


The teacher will:  


  • Apply effective teaching methods and curriculum knowledge.
  • Ensure an inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Create personalised learning plans and relevant programs.
  • Assess and report on student progress.
  • Maintain a productive and safe learning environment.
  • Handle confidential information appropriately.

 

Key Responsibilities:


At Cardijn College, teachers and staff are expected to uphold the Catholic ethos and the values of the school while complying with the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) guidelines and College policies. Responsibilities include handling confidential information with care, completing administrative tasks accurately and on time, and participating in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes. Staff are to assist students in distress, meet them at scheduled times, and perform diligent supervision duties. Building strong professional relationships with colleagues, attending key meetings and events, accepting delegated tasks, and fulfilling additional duties as directed by the Principal or College Leaders are also integral parts of the role.

    • Experience: Proven track record in administration and first aid within a large organisation.
    • Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
    • Qualifications: Current First Aid Certificate (Senior First Aid), Working With Children Check, and relevant mandatory training.
