About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to our patients.

The Nurse Manager, Professional Clinical Practice works closely with nursing leadership across the organization to develop and support a systematic and integrated approach to the review of clinical professional accountability. The role enables a safety culture that is, evidence-based, and supports and informs clinical practice improvement, achieving this through the identification and implementation of practice improvement initiatives across the nursing workforce.

The role helps to demonstrate improved accountability for the delivery of safe, high quality, patient centred care via compliance within the appropriate governance systems and processes within the complexities of a patient centered care environment.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2. Current Registration Nurse/Midwife (Division1) – Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia.
3. Demonstrated leadership experience in nursing including appropriate relevant post graduate qualifications and/or extensive experience deemed equivalent.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and professional practice issues as they relate to the Nursing Profession in New South Wales.
5. Demonstrated high level leadership within the workplace including the ability to form productive working relationships through highly developed communication, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
6. Demonstrated project and change management skills and the ability to use diagnostic tools and interventions including digital information technology platforms.
7. Demonstrated commitment to own professional development in areas relevant to health management and
leadership.
8. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
