Our tech services provide mechanical sampling design and commissioning for all bulk particulate materials.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the full operation and management of our onsite coal testing laboratory at Byerwen. 

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Assistance to the SSE in monitoring and managing compliance to the Qld CMH&S Act and Regs
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, Inspections & SAO’s to Byerwen System (R-Sured)
  • Recording, Investigation and Reporting Procedure
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership
  • Complete all incident investigations relating to the onsite laboratory to ensure the root causes are identified and where applicable, work practices adjusted accordingly in a timely manner
  • Ensure you are familiar with, and conform to the Environmental Authority (EA) and the Plan of Operations (PoO). 
  • Ensure that the coal lab maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders – including employees, contractors, customers, suppliers, government agencies, neighbours and the community
  • Manage the procurement and freight of parts and services to ensure fixed plant and equipment services are delivered.

Qualifications

  • RII competencies for light vehicle and laboratory equipment S1,2&3 G2
  • Previous experience in operating onsite laboratories
  • Proficient in MS Office, including basic spread sheeting
  • Mathematical/Analytical principles 
  • Proficient in all aspects of laboratory operations
