Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Mental Health Nurses to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients with mental health conditions, helping them achieve optimal mental and emotional well-being. Your role will involve comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health conditions.
  • Conduct detailed patient assessments and develop individualised care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by mental health practitioners.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatments, and coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including care plans and progress notes.
  • Adhere to mental health policies, protocols, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Licensure: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health nursing.
  • Certification: Certification in mental health nursing is highly desirable.
  • Vaccinations: Up-to-date with annual flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Work Rights: Must have full work rights in Australia.
