About the role
This position is an integral and critical member of the site operations team. It is also a core member of the maintenance leadership team.

The West Footscray site operates 24hr 6 days per week. Engineering functions are carried out during normal and outside of these operating hours. The role requires an experienced Mechanical trade with further training as an instrument technician to ensure correct controls and standards are in place for all maintenance activities across the site.
•    Effective communication with internal and external customer
•    Initiating and fostering strong relationships with site stakeholders
•    Provide technical based solutions, 
•    Provide factual feedback when needed to support decision-making processes.
•    Managing competing priorities 
•    Becoming comfortable and competent with the various operating systems on site.
•    Strategic Planning for future demand and staged replacement of existing ageing equipment.  Ensure maintenance and utilization of existing equipment to a maximum life to result in customer delivery not impacted by existing aging equipment.
•    Provide flexibility through overtime support as needed.

 

About your experience

•    Demonstrated Mechanical ability 
•    At least 3 years’ leadership experience within a maintenance environment
•    Trade qualifications
•    Mechanical trade or Engineering background within a manufacturing environment (FMCG experience would be advantageous)
•    Demonstrated knowledge of preventative maintenance systems / tasks
•    Great computer skills / knowledge
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Ability to work in a team environment
•    Able to work independently and accept responsibility
•    Good written and verbal communication
•    Installation and maintenance of equipment in hazardous area zone qualified
