Mechanical Project Engineer

Are you a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer with 3-4 years of industry experience? Do you have a knack for both mechanical and electrical systems? We have an exciting opportunity for you at Pensar on our Mt Crosby project! Dive into a role where you’ll make a significant impact, working on high-value projects and collaborating with top-tier professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering Support: Oversee the staged removal of existing HV motors and the installation of new 900kW and 1750kW motors.
• Stakeholder Liaison:
• Collaborate with new motor suppliers.
• Provide support to the Pensar supervisor and management team.
• Work with design consultant engineers, the client, selected subcontractors, and Pensar electrical crews for HV/LV disconnect/reconnection.
• Project Familiarisation: Understand client specifications and project designs.
• Subcontractor Management:
• Seek pricing for removal/install scope of works.
• Prepare and review RFQ documents for subcontractor pricing.
• Assess received pricing for subcontractor selection.
• Prepare sub-contract agreements for the selected subcontractor.
• Procurement: Handle procurement for the scope of works you manage.
• Budget & Program Review: Monitor works against budget, forecast, and program timelines.
• Quality Assurance: Compile and package QA documentation (ITPs, etc.) for client submission and approval.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all works meet safety compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-4 years as a Mechanical Project Engineer.
• Tertiary Qualifications: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge: Beneficial if you have experience or knowledge in electrical systems.
• Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Technical: Familiarity with HV/LV motors and project specifications.
