Mechanical Fitter - Water Assets (159511)

Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three consortia delivering services under Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water’s North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter, ideally someone with experience with pipes and valves, to join our Construction team and work on Sydney Water Assets in the Hawkesbury region. These Assets include Sewerage treatment plants, water treatment plants and reservoirs. You will be working on essential infrastructure and a diverse range of mechanical equipment including pump replacement, penstock renewal, pipework install, general maintenance activities and rotor stator replacement. This is a 10-year program of works offering job stability and the opportunity for training and career progression. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter who has ideally worked on water infrastructure assets such as pipes and valves.

ABOUT YOU 

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade 
• Work Safely at Heights (If you do not have this cert, we will send you for training)
• Enter Confined Space (If you do not have this cert, we will send you for training)
• Provide First Aid  
• Able to execute work tasks with minimal supervision.  

DESIRABLE SKILLS 

• Flange Management
• Elevated Work Platform 
• Tubing & Fitting (Install/Inspect)
• High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG) Competent in core elements required for the discipline and demonstrated experience in some site-specific tasks
• Leads reliability and performance improvements 
• Trains and coaches other staff
