About You

You’re a Mechanical Fitter who knows your stuff – from assembly and disassembly of heavy equipment to keeping everything running smoothly. You’ve probably worked with conveyor pulleys, bearings, seals, and all that good stuff. You’re detail-oriented, hands-on, and you don’t just meet standards – you set them. You’ve got a trades certificate and the experience to back it up. You’re comfortable with computerised drawings and you’re the kind of person who’s always looking for ways to do things better. Forklift license? Great. But if not, no worries – we’ll sort you out.

You’re also a team player, someone who’s as comfortable teaching the new guys as you are getting your hands dirty. And when it comes to communication, you’re clear, concise, and always on point. Oh, and you’ve got the right to work in Australia, because that’s a must.

What You’ll Do

At PROK, your day-to-day will be anything but routine. You’ll be:

  • Assembling and disassembling underground mining materials handling equipment – think locking assemblies, bearings, seals, housings, and couplings on conveyor pulleys.
  • Maintaining both fixed and mobile plant on-site, ensuring everything’s in top shape and ticking off the paperwork like the pro you are.
  • Keeping your workspace clean and organized – because a tidy workspace is a safe workspace.
  • Spotting room for improvement and filling out those Non-Conformance Reports when needed – you’re not just here to do a job, you’re here to make things better.
  • Helping train apprentices by showing them the ropes – because what good is experience if you can’t pass it on?

This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to grow with us, to take on new challenges, and to build a career that’s as solid as the equipment you’ll be working on.
