About The Role

The position of Maintenance Officer is to provide the day-to-day plumbing maintenance services and home modifications for our clients. This includes completing minor/major plumbing works, repairs, installation, inspections, operation and repair of plumbing equipment, as well as completing modifications to people's homes in the form of the fabrication and installation of grabrails, handrails and other mobility aids. All work must be completed in a professional, timely, and efficient manner exercised through 3Bridges core values


  • Carry out repairs to all services related to the plumbing trade, water supply, natural gas, sewer and stormwater.
  • Installation, maintenance and setting of thermostatic mixing, valves (TMV) equipment on site as required.
  • All work carried out by the Plumber is to be of a high standard, acceptable to the Senior Maintenance Officer/Manager.
  • Maintain workshop and workplaces in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Participate in developing Risk Assessments, Safe Work Method Statements and complying with Safety Data Sheets
  • Quote work requests as directed by the Senior Maintenance Officer/Manager.
  • Consult with referral agencies installation of modifications where necessary, or as directed by the Senior Maintenance Officer.
  • Carry out the following modification and maintenance work: minor roofing, gutter, and downpipe replacement/repair work, fabrication and installation of external handrails, installation of internal grab rails, be involved with the construction of timber/concrete ramps, step modifications, minor carpentry work, minor tiling work, minor and major bathroom modifications.
  • Maintain a daily logbook for company vehicle.
  • Ensure company vehicle is appropriately maintained, cleaned, housed, and used as per the Motor Vehicle policy.
  • Assist with establishing practices that promote the organisation culture and vision, recognising organisational diversity and opportunities to innovate.



About You

  • Trade Qualified and experience of 5+ years
  • Completion of Plumbing Trade course and hold a Current Plumber's License.
  • Current NSW Construction Induction White Card.
  • Valid NSW working with Children Check clearance and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Possess practical expertise in relevant trade skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to efficiently program and coordinate building projects concurrently.
  • An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Quality Assurance (QA) management, and compliance with trades regulations
  • Knowledge of the CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Programme) and NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) National Guidelines, specifically related to Home Modification and Maintenance.
  • Strong ability to partnerships with networks, providers, internal and external stakeholders to enhance and expand services.
