Lead Veterinarian - Corio Veterinary Clinic 
 
This is a unique position to develop and foster collaboration within our veterinarian team, working together with our practice manager to make your mark on our amazing practice!
As Lead Veterinarian they are responsible for the management and supervision of the clinical function of the business, including overseeing excellent standards of care in medically assessing, diagnosing, and treating animals presented to the clinic. Key to the Lead Veterinarian’s role is a collaborative working relationship with the Practice Manager; as the two senior members within the clinic, these positions must work very closely to achieve clinical and business success.
Our well-established Corio Veterinary Clinic has been part of the community for well over 30 years and with our team of 3 Vets and 7 nurses, we pride ourselves on our high quality of care for both our patients and their owners. Our nurse team are experienced and highly skilled and love supporting the vet team. By day, we usually have 2-3 Vets on with 4-5 nurses supporting.
Priding ourselves on our ongoing development and education focus, we have a weekly team development meeting, you will be supported with access to VetPartners’ leadership development program as well as leading Veterinary Training Centre with a myriad of courses to support your ongoing learning, not to mention support from our approachable regional manager. It’s all about teamwork!
Corio forms one of the largest suburbs in Geelong. It is located 9kms north of Geelong where you can enjoy the scenic views of Corio Bay or explore the historic You Yangs Regional Park.
 
What’s in it for you: 
 
  • A generous salary package of $120,000 - $140,000 plus superannuation depending on experience 
  • Relocation allowance available 
  • Performance-based pay review after 6 months’ probationary period 
  • This position can be 25-38 hours per week, depending on your preference 
  • Supportive management team (practice manager and regional manager) to ensure your success
  • Clinic hours are 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 – 1.00pm Saturdays (1 in 4 Saturdays) and NO Sundays.
