Exiting opportunity for a casual shut down worker to join our Specialised Engineering Services Team in Western Australia.

You will become a core part of our team in WA assisting with the execution of Hydraulic Maintenance, Installation, Commissioning and Troubleshooting works.
  
Along with on-the-job training there will also be development within the role through internal training programs and external accreditations where relevant to the role. Successful applicant will be provided with pathway to supervision and leaderships roles resulting in long term career opportunities within Motion Australia.

About your role:

  • Undertake hydraulic maintenance tasks during shut down periods; replacement of hydraulic components, pipework installations, inspections, testing of equipment
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic issues on fixed plant assets throughout the Pilbara region
  • Assist in the execution, installation, and commission of bespoke projects; managed, designed and manufactured by our in-house design teams and manufacturing facilities around Australia
  • Ensure a high level of safe work practices undertaken at site

About you: 

  • Mechanical Trade qualification as a Fitter, Turner & Machinist, Light Vehicle or Plant Mechanic
  • Hydraulic certification is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics is desirable but not essential
  • High attention to details
  • Positive attitude, great work ethics, desire to learn
  • Excellent attitude to safety
  • Able to work for periods away from home – shut down works in the Pilbara region are mobilised out of Perth
