Mater Hospital are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our dynamic critical care team. ABOUT UNIT:

  • 20 bedded state of the art cardiovascular unit.
  • Referral centre for rural and remote areas for vascular procedures, cardio thoracic surgery and interventional cardiology.
  • Nurse/patient ratios of 1:4 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts.
  • Rotating roster of 12-hour shifts.
  • Cardiac monitoring.
  • Inpatient dialysis treatment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and monitoring patients’ conditions.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans.
  • Administering medications and treatments.
  • Providing emotional support to patients and families.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You are an expert in delivering clinical care with a minimum of 2 years cardiac experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Knowledge of the National Healthcare Standards.
  • Team Player with excellent communication skills.
  • Can-do attitude.
