Job Description

As part of our expansion plans, we are looking for Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Geraldton, Western Australia.

This role is a residential role located in Geraldton, WA.
Comprehensive relocation packages will be offered to suitable candidates who woud like to relocte to Geraldton.

You will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs to on-road heavy vehicles to enable best possible equipment availability and utilisation. 

A day in the workshop could see you:

  • Maintaining equipment in line with manufacturing specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Diagnosing faults safely, accurately, and efficiently in a timely manner.
  • Reporting new issues/faults to management at the earliest opportunity.
  • Managing work orders and respond promptly to driver & workshop repair requests.
  • Completing required workshop documentation, paperwork and in-system data accurately and promptly.

Base hourly rate $63.50 with an earning capacity of $185,000 (if all rostered hours worked) PLUS the following bonuses:

  • 3 retention bonuses amounting to $35,000 in total. 
  • Quarterly team productivity bonuses.

Super is paid on all hours worked.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, based in Geraldton. 
Roster is: 7/7/7 roster.

Qualifications

  • C Class Driver’s Licence, or HR Licence (preferable).
  • Minimum 2 years in maintenance & repair of heavy vehicle and/or trailers (Volvo & Mack preferable).
  • Qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic.
  • Experience in vehicle inspections and electric & repairs to heavy duty trucks and trailers.
  • Heavy vehicle authorised examiner certification (desirable but not essential).
  • Willing to complete a pre-employment medical.
