Head Vet Nurse - Greencross Brookvale

We are looking for a person who is proudly professional and passionate about nursing, maintaining clinical standards, driving improvement, fear free/stress free handling and making sure that every animal who crosses our doorstep gets the best possible standard of care!

Greencross Brookvale is a modern, community focused practice with some very lovely and loyal clients! Co-located onsite at a Petbarn retail store allowing for a steady-stream of cross-referrals and providing a full range of pet care, helping achieve a truly memorable and positive experience. We pride ourselves on providing gold standards of care and our trained nurses are valued as an integral part of the team.

We are looking for an Experienced Head Nurse who has strong communication and team building skills and previous experience leading and motivating a high functioning nursing team.

About your new role:

• Full-time role managing a team of Vet Nurses and supporting busy Vets
• Guiding and developing the Nurse team, building a positive team culture 
• Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
• Taking initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency
• Collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care
• Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing with minimum of 3+ years of experience 
• Experience coaching and mentoring Vet Nurses 
• Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• A calm and friendly presence
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Flexible and adaptable within a team environment
• Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential
