Our Opportunity

To support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Conveyors NSW are currently seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our design and manufacturing facility in Gulgong, NSW. 

In this facility we work within a team of project managers, engineers, designers and fabricators on projects large and small.

Daily duties typically include.

• Learning to design and model bulk material handling equipment in collaboration with the design/drafting team.
• Assist with engineering and conveyor design calculations to select mechanical components and ensure structural compliance with the appropriate codes & Australian standards.

• Creating shop detail drawings and assembly drawings of conveyor equipment.
• Preparing drawings for issue to fabricators or project managers.
• Assist the workshop with design and drawing queries.

The Right Person

The ideal candidate for this position would have:

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma of engineering in a mechanical discipline 
• A genuine passion for mechanical engineering and problem solving.
• High attentional to detail 
• Excellent communication skills
• Full working rights in Australia
• Some proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
