Classification: HN21 – HN49 (Medical Specialist Years 2 – 9)
Salary per hour (exc. super): Year 2 Specialist $158.82 to Year 9 $203.37
Hours per fortnight: 21 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable for the right candidate)
Employment Status: Permanent – Fractional Specialist
Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination (3 doses) and Specialist Registration with Ahpra along with suitable college requirements

Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant General Surgeon to join our team of 13 General Surgeons, each with a subspecialist interest. We are looking for a General Surgeon with a breast subspecialty interest.  The successful candidate will take part in a 1:9 on call roster with registrar and hospital medical officer support.

We are looking for someone with post fellowship experience that can bring proven knowledge of modern skills and techniques within breast surgery. They will be a team-player with the ability to adapt and work well with our multi-disciplinary departments across the hospital .Fractional Specialist General Surgeon reporting to the Clinical Unit Head General Surgery. This position is Fractional 21 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable for the right candidate).
The Surgeon will provide surgical care to patients of Bendigo Health, including:

  • General, laparoscopic and open procedures
  • Endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy and colonoscopy)
  • Desirable skills would be breast specialty interest.
