About the opportunity: 

We are seeking multiple Enrolled Nurses for our Mortdale team. We need three permanent part-time on a 31-hour to 73-hour fortnightly schedule. The rate is from $35.62/hr + superannuation + salary packaging.

*Pay rates are determined by the total number of hours worked as an enrolled nurse.*

Role Requirements:

  • Manual Handling and Hoist Experience -customers require assistance due to mobility deterioration.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and ensure proper documentation of medication records.
  • Can follow and implement strict routines.
  • Experience in high support needs - PEG feeding, epilepsy and acquired brain injury.
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, weekends, is a must.
  • Great communication skills

Typical duties might include: 

  • Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence.
  • Supporting customers with personal care, including bowel care, manual handling using a variety of equipment and aids and other health and hygiene needs such as feeding, medication, dressing, toileting and showering.
  • Undertaking various household tasks, including mealtime management and liaising with GPs, care coordinators, RNs and allied health
  • Attend to medical emergencies and provide first aid as required.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (the Board).  
  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent tertiary qualifications. 
  • Registration with the medication notation is highly preferred, or willingness to complete a Board-approved qualification in administering medicines within 12 months of commencement.
  • Valid working rights
  • A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
  • NSW Working with Children Check NSW & Blue Card QLD
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Health Assessment
