Job Description

AEC Moorabbin is bustling like never before, and we're thrilled to announce an exhilarating new opportunity for a full-time Emergency Veterinarian. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide stellar emergency and critical veterinary care, supporting pets in their most vulnerable moments.
• Utilise state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiographs, in-house blood analysis, point-of-care ultrasound, and life-saving high flow nasal oxygen and mechanical ventilators for precise diagnosis and treatment.
• Ignite your passion for growth in ultrasound, trauma, toxicology, and surgery with our unwavering support.
• Engage in continuous practical and theoretical education through in-house tutorials, webinars, mentorship programs, and memberships.
• Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, pet owners, and referring veterinarians, communicating effectively and compassionately.
• Cultivate composure and empathy, even in the face of stressful situations, while enjoying making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree available for registration in Victoria - Your educational foundation is essential in our mission to save lives.
• 2 or more years of experience - Your battle scars and triumphs have prepared you for the challenging world of emergency veterinary care.
• Previous emergency veterinary experience highly desirable - Joining us with emergency medicine expertise will give you a flying start.
• Ability to remain calm and show compassion in stressful situations - You'll be a calming force in the storm, providing comfort to both pets and their anxious owners.
• Effective communication skills - Your ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, pet owners, and referring veterinarians will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care.
