About The Centre

Thrive, Merrylands is located in Sydney's Western Sydney and follows a play-based learning approach in a bright and modern building with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for children to explore.

The team is diverse and inclusive who work together in respectful partnership and have a supportive leadership team who provides many opportunities to grow as a professional.

About The Role

We are looking for a fully qualified early childhood teacher to join our team, full time.

We are looking for a professional educator with experience in programming and the ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, families and educators.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • To build and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families and fellow educators
  • Have a sound knowledge of and demonstrate high-quality practice in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Provide assistance to other Educators in the room
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with team members
  • Maintain effective communication with parents
  • Actively contribute to the educational program, observations and documentation, using Kinderm8 and informal opportunities

Successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Teaching/Education
  • A current NSW Employee Working With Children's Check
  • NESA Accreditation
  • Child Protection Training
  • Sound, practical working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) & National Quality Standard (NQS)
