  • $43.47 per hour plus super plus OT, Quarterly bonus of $1500
  • Flexible start times Monday to Friday, some weekend work available
  • Full-time permanent role in Portsmith, Cairns, QLD

The Opportunity 

Based in Cairns, Queensland at our Portsmith depot, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to perform routine and un-planned servicing to our varied fleet of assets. Reporting to our on-site Equipment Manager as a part of a 30+ vehicle fleet, day to day you will be responsible for tasks including diagnostics, servicing, troubleshooting and repair work.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Certificate III in Engineering (Heavy Diesel Mechanic) or equivalent 
  • Valid HR licence preferred, but support available to obtain if required
  • Experience with a range of heavy vehicles
  • Focus on safety and sustainability
  • Complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test

Waste industry experience is not essential, however possessing a good attitude, being reliable and having a willingness to learn is. Ideally our suitable candidate will have some experience in electrics and/or hydraulics to support our business to thrive.
