The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for a Customer Service Representative in our National Customer Service Team based in Gillman . Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. 

In this varied 12 month fixed term role, you’ll join our supportive, customer-focused team renowned for providing consistently high levels of customer service. You’ll interact with our national distribution business customers and support our local branches, delivering a premium service to our customers and helping our business to increase sales and develop ongoing relationships now and into the future.

What Will You Do?

As a key contact for sales and service enquiries, who leads with enthusiasm and is invested in the team’s success, you will:

  • prepare and follow up on customer quotes
  • managing sales enquiries via email and phone; including both inbound & outbound calls
  • identify opportunities with our customers to provide value-add services
  • reach out to new or existing customers to identify potential opportunities to generate further sales growth
  • support our external sales teams and branches across Australia
  • provide internal support and regular feedback to relevant sales teams regarding customer and competitor information
  • resolve issues and seek ways to improve the customer experience

More About You

We’re ready to support your learning journey. You could have experience in a similar customer service role, or perhaps you come to us with a sales administration background. You don’t need to have experience in the building industry.

  • experience working in a customer service environment
  • high attention to detail with a natural curiosity to resolve discrepancies
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate mutually satisfying outcomes
