Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team!

The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in South West Sydney.

From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.

Our elderly client in Revesby would like to meet a Social Volunteer that speaks and writes in Lebanese Arabic to visit her at home. She enjoys cooking, spending time with family and watching the birds in her garden. You'll help to improve her quality of life and help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.
