Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse looking to make a meaningful difference in your community? We are looking for a dedicated Community Nurse to join our team in Port Lincoln, where you will provide exceptional, person-centred care and case management to patients in a diverse community setting.

Role Overview:

As a Community Nurse, you’ll deliver direct, individualised nursing care to patients with a range of complexities and cultural backgrounds. Your role will encompass:

  • Health Promotion & Education: Empower patients and carers with the knowledge and skills to enhance their health outcomes.
  • Support & Guidance: Mentor newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses, and other healthcare workers.
  • Clinical Care Across Regions: Deliver nursing care across the Eyre & Far North region based on service needs and requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practicing certificate, with at least 2 years post graduate experience.
  • Competence: Demonstrated nursing practice in line with relevant standards.
  • Skills: Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage priorities with creativity and flexibility.
  • Commitment: A dedication to providing consumer/client and family-centred care.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy working 64 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
