Job Description

In this clinical educator role, based in Victoria Parade, Epworth Freemasons, you will be responsible for facilitating workplace learning through clinical teaching, supervision, assessment, and support for all staff. This includes supporting learners within the following programs: Graduate, Postgraduate, Introductory and Specialty programs, to assist learners in meeting the academic and/or clinical objectives required in their programs. This is a part time, fixed term role until October 2025. 

You will be part of the Epworth Clinical Nurse Education team and report to the Epworth Freemasons Education Manager.

To be successful in this role…
You will drive quality and safety within the hospital through education, training, workshops, seminars, and clinical support to aid staff development to improve patient outcomes.

You will have:

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in midwifery.
  • Previous education / facilitation experience is desirable, though not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work strongly with dynamic and diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships. 
  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and achieve outcomes.
  • High level of self-motivation, accountability, and ability to work within agreed parameters.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse/midwife with AHPRA.
  • Relevant Postgraduate qualification (or working towards).
  • Hold or be working towards a Masters qualification in Education or relevant area of practice (desirable).
