An exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to join St Andrews Ipswich Private Hospital in a part-time Clinical Nurse Educator Perioperative position, offering 48 hours per fortnight

 

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Perioperative Education Team, providing support and education in all areas of Perioperative Nursing. As a Nurse Educator within the Operating Theatre complex you will coordinate the supervision of all clinical care, training and education to our staff.

You will play a crucial part in supporting all members of the nursing team, acting as a role model and resource person within the clinical space.

 

Your Skills and Experience

You will be a positive and supportive mentor with a passion for sharing your knowledge with others and assisting in the clinical development of our team.

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 5 years’ perioperative nursing experience in either Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout or PACU.
  • Experience in preceptor role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Understanding of methods of assisting, facilitating, and assessing learning.
  • Have a good understanding of continuous improvement, WHS and risk management.
  • Well-developed computer skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Completion of a preceptorship program or working towards.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment or working towards.

 

Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $60.18 - $64.75 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 3 gr1-gr4)

About Our Hospital

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital is a fully accredited advanced surgical, medical and obstetric hospital situated 5 mins from the Ipswich CBD. We are located in the medical precinct of Ipswich, adjacent to the CBD with specialist rooms within a 5 minute walk of the hospital. Parking is available in the hospital car park and also in the surrounding streets.

 

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
