About the Role

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is seeking a number of passionate and experienced Theatre Scrub/Scout Registered Nurses to join our team.

You will be required to competently scrub and scout for:

  • Cardiac

  • Neuro

  • Ortho

  • ENT, urology, plastics

  • General surgical procedures.

You will use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality care in a rapidly changing environment.

These positions are critical positions within SVHM and are responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care within a specific area in Perioperative Services under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager.

Classifications for the Bank RN position will range from ZU3 - ZU11 ($67,527.2 - $95,378.40 per annum) pro rata + 25% casual loading


Your Contribution

You will also have:

  • Current condition free registration with AHPRA.

  • Demonstrated minimum 2-3 years previous experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating theatre. Experience with ENT, urology, plastics, orthopaedics and general surgical cases is preferred.

  • Postgraduate qualifications in critical care nursing are also preferred, but not essential.

  • Current National criminal history check and NDIS check, or willing to obtain.

About Perioperative services - Fitzroy

St Vincent's Perioperative Suite houses 12 theatres, a Day Procedures Unit, 3

Endoscopy Suites and 2 Post Anaesthetic Care Areas. We undertake over 13,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a 24-hour period, 7 days per week.
