Role purpose

The Assistant Retailer Manager supports the Retail Management Team in delivering retailer engagement strategies aimed at maximising net property income and asset valuation with a portfolio of approx. 55 general retailers. This role requires strong financial acumen and interpersonal skills to deliver successful retailer interactions. The assistant retail manager will be responsible for leasing storage spaces and managing the budget.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage all storage licenses, including temporary Christmas storage requests and reconfigurations.
• Associated with development impacts with storage relocations and vacate notices
• To act as the relationship liaison for a number of assigned tenants (this role can be considered a stepping stone towards he Retail Manager role);
• Participating and assisting in the compilation of the monthly management report which includes key retailer insights on sales performance
• Assessing the performance of retailers and identifying opportunities to improve sales
• Regular formal and informal retailer meetings, including debt collection
• Take on extra tasks as and when required to support the Retail team;
• Complete a Victorian Agent Representative course

Capability and Experience

  • You will be an experienced administrator who has worked in a similar team coordination role ideally within retail or a customer service industry.  
  • You will have extensive experience using the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and experience with accounting systems such as JD Edwards would be advantageous but not essential.
  • You will bring outstanding communication and organisational skills and be known for your ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions within the organisation.
  • You will have a strong ability to multi-task coupled with an excellent attention to detail.
  • You have a positive attitude; thrive in working in a fast-paced environment and a customer service ethic that is second to none.
  •  You are always adaptable in your approach and responsive to the needs of the stakeholders and leaders you support.
  • You understand the diverse nature of our business, our customers and our people.
  • You actively contribute to a positive environment within the team.
